About Me

Personal Profile

James White's passion for art and technology happened quite accidentally while working at a large retail soccer outlet and attending Orange Coast College. As he performed daily duties of stocking shelves, he approached a supervisor and asked if he could alter the store’s image and ambiance. Suddenly, precious time-off became less important and he found himself making furniture out of goal posts, renovating the store logo, screen printing new employee shirts, and creating a mini soccer field in the store. Although he completed most of the courses to become a firefighter, a strong desire to change his major began in that store. After research to find the right major, White found that he could broaden his technological capabilities in Digital Media Art at San Jose State University while simultaneously interning as a creative media designer for a Los Angeles based aerospace company. Following completion of his Bachelor’s degree, White will pursue a careering media design, videography or possibly developing and re-branding companies.

Merging technology into storytelling has always been his overall objective. With a vision of creating short films, travel videos and photography in a unique way while pushing physical and visual barriers while at San Jose State University (using photography to talk about depression, making a award-winning film about animal rescue and tackling surveillance with 3D modeling, just to name a few.) Having always created images as if he was writing a book, with picking only the necessities that need to be in the frame. Technological-wise and equipment is state-of-the-art and includes 4k cameras and drones that can film in almost any condition we get in California.
